Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is passed to the third-party results provider. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. If you contact us, we receive the information contained in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may record routine log information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for reliability and usage patterns. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the service, resolve technical issues, measure overall traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to Dutchess County and New York portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy policy of the destination controls anything submitted there. The same is true for sponsored search results provided by an outside company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Companies that host or support the service may process the technical logs described above. Analytics and advertising partners can receive that automatic data. We disclose information only when legally required through valid process.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or account profiles stored by this service.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a visitor under 18. If you believe a minor sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Choices About Your Data
You may ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of information the service keeps about you. Because this service maintains little direct visitor information, a request ordinarily concerns contact correspondence or technical logs. Use the Contact page. Public records maintained by New York, Dutchess County, or Town custodians are not controlled here. New York Freedom of Information Law, Public Officers Law Article 6, §§84–90, governs many agency record requests, while particular records can remain confidential under laws such as Public Health Law §4174 and Election Law §3-220.
Policy Changes
